Smart Lab awarded the most innovative project at the Tan Tech Exhibitions

Smart Lab participated on the first annual Tan Tech exhibitions. St. Joseph University organized the exhibitions with the aim of showcasing innovative projects from its students and some secondary schools from Dar –es-salaam and Pwani. They occurred from 29th August – 31st August 2018 at Mlimani City grounds, Dar- es- Salaam.

Smart Lab was honored to award the most innovative project that went to a team of 3 students Salum Salum, Sophia Abeid and Ghaniya Hamad who created a File tracking system using GPS technology. Smart Lab presented certificates, prize money and acceleration of the winning project to become a working product.

Smart Lab also participated on a panel discussion with a theme, “The role of science & technology institutions in enabling achievements of a middle income and semi-industrialized Tanzania”, together with other government officials, Industry, training institutions and Science & Technology organizations.

The exhibition was organized to create a platform for students to demonstrate to the industry and the general public, innovative projects from but also inspire secondary school students to aspire for higher education studies in science and mathematics related fields.
